Volunteering is an exciting way for you, your friends and colleagues to give back to the community and make a real difference. JARI offers volunteering opportunities in many areas of the organisation including snorkelling and swimming education, conservation initiatives, community projects and research.
Volunteering with JARI is a rewarding experience and a great opportunity to see how our programs are helping in communities across Lombok and Sumbawa.
JARI has many ongoing projects that are always in need of an extra set of hands! Whether you’re looking to dedicate a week (or more!) to furthering one of our conservation projects in Lombok, or you’re keen to run a once-off event with or for JARI, we’d love to have you aboard!
We have a number of opportunities to assist with JARI’s day-to-day activities, including assisting in the management and implementation of our education and conservation programs. We are always looking for individuals or groups with a passion for marine conservation and who are motivated to create sustainable change within the local community.
JARI regularly takes on interns from a number of university programs, with credit counting towards the intern’s course. These internships can be on-site in Lombok or undertaken remotely from overseas, and are best suited towards students in the Arts and Science faculties, though we’d love to hear from students from any faculties who are keen to join us!
Are you a recent graduate looking to get experience in your study area? JARI is always on the lookout for fresh talent to help us in our work. Volunteering provides an opportunity to use your knowledge and get valuable career experience at the same time.
